Second day of Rosh Hashana, or the Jewish New Year. The festival marks the anniversay of the creation of Adam and Eve, the birth of mankind. One main observance of Rosh Hashana is the sounding of the shofar, or, in English, ram's horn.
NOTE: The holiday actually starts the evening before the first day of the holiday, at sundown. Please check your local Federation, synagogue or Chabad for detailed times for the holiday in your area.
